"Concluding the afternoon's events was a screening of the newly released British documentary 'Desert Victory'... The presentation at Schenectady's Erie Theater was the world premier of the film... [It was] restricted to ALCO employees, while the general public was admitted the next day.... 'Desert Victory' depicted the actual battle of El Alamein, including scenes from captured German film and dramatic footage taken by the British Royal Air Force and a corps of British Eight Army photographers."
